Mortgage Rates;
The market is becoming more active in North Carolina. Prices are also appreciating and it appears that North Carolina has escaped the downturn experienced in other parts of the country. Inventory levels are decreasing and buyers are taking advantage of the low interest rates. The negative press coverage of recent months has affected consumer confidence but buyers are beginning to realise that this is a great time to buy. Sellers are also setting realistic prices which means that their homes are selling faster. The local economy is also strong with low unemployment and a high number of people moving in to the area.
Raleigh, in particular, is a very attractive option for buyers and prices are on the rise. So, although it remains a buyers market throughout the rest of the state, Raleigh is the exception. There are less homes on the market in Raleigh and sellers have priced their homes accordingly. This remains a great time for potential buyers to enter the market.
